On the 20th and 21st of June 2016 the department for marine biology of the University of Viena and the Center for Marine Research held a bilateral workshop about the role of marine snow in the northern Adriatic. Main topics were the current state of the art as well as ongoing and future methodological approaches to the research of  aggregates in marine systems. This workshop is part of the bilateral project "The role of marine snow in the northern Adriatic".
