Electroactive films for ecologically acceptable energy conversion and storage
Principal investigator
The proposed research is focused to preparation and characterization of thin films of electrochemically active inorganic and organic materials at conductive substrates with a general aim of defining 1) a close relationship between chemical composition, morphological and structural characteristics, fundamental physical processes (transfer, transport and accumulation of charges) and electrochemical activity of prepared films and 2) stable, highly-efficient and durable electroactive materials that could be applied in a “new class” of ecologically acceptable energy conversion and storage devices (fuel cells and electrochemical supercapacitors).
