SS-NMR study of the supramolecular and covalent-organic frameworks and their functionalized counterparts
Principal investigator
The field of porous materials is blooming and attracting enormous attention in the scientific community. The research planned in the project aims to clarify the local structure, interactions, and structural changes in novel porous materials classes, supramolecular organic frameworks (SOF), and covalent-organic frameworks (COF) with high application potential. We aim to use solid-state NMR to resolve critical issues with these important materials stemming from their insolubility, low crystallinity, and inability to determine their structure by diffraction. The Croatian group has broad expertise in synthesizing non-conventional porous materials by mechanochemistry. The Slovenian team has extensive expertise in solid-state NMR, which will provide clear insight into the complex structure of target SOF and COF materials.
