RBI presented the application of HPC technology for small and medium enterprises
The largest regional ICT sector meeting, the MIPRO conference (International Conference Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics), was held in the period from 22 to 26 May 2017 and gathered more than a thousand participants from Croatia, Europe, and the world.
During the conference, Ruđer Bošković Institute (RBI), Centre for Informatics and Computing, presented the possibilities of applying HPC technology for small and medium-sized enterprises in Croatia. The presentation was held as part of the dissemination activities of the newly established European Network of SESAME Net - Supercomputing Expertise for Small and Medium Enterprises and the co-financed project under the EU 2020 Observatory and Innovation Program, worth EUR 2 million. The booth was set up at MIPRO project exhibitions. SESAME Net project includes over 30 HPC centers, HPC servers, public research institutions and universities from 18 European countries. In Croatia this project is partly carried out by the Center for Informatics and Computing of the IRB.
