Prof. dr. Maria Montes-Bayón visiting Ruđer Bošković Institute
Prof. dr. Maria Montes-Bayón, full professor at Faculty of Chemistry, University of Oviedo (Spain) has visited Laboratory for Biological Effects of Metals (Division for Marine and Environmental Research, Ruđer Bošković Institute) within the scope of CSF project METABIOM ("Metal-binding biomolecules and health disturbances of freshwater organisms exposed to industrial wastes"; principal investigator dr. Zrinka Dragun).
During her visit, prof. Montes-Bayón has participated in the project meeting, and was informed about conducted activities and achieved results of the project. Agreement for future cooperation was achieved, as well as for the joint research project application at the next CSF call.
Prof. Montes-Bayón has held a lecture at RBI (1st June 2023) under title "The use of ICP-MS for the elemental analysis of individual cells and nanoparticles", which was accessible to all interested employees of the Institute.
During her short visit, we have shown prof. Montes-Bayón the attractions of the city of Zagreb.
