Workshop and Symposium „Organic Ligands - A Key Control of Trace Metal Biogeochemistry in the Oceans“
At the Marine station Martinska, and in Town library „Juraj Šižgorić“ in Šibeniku from 7th to 11th April 2015. Workshop and Symposium „Organic Ligands - A Key Control of Trace Metal Biogeochemistry in the Oceans“ will take place.
The workshop is aimed at 20 students, postdocs and other researchers who want to improve their skills in organic ligand complexation with trace metal analysis using voltammetric state-of-the-art methods, instrumentation and software. It will be organized by dr. Dario Omanović and dr. Ivanka Pižeta in the frame of Laboratrory for physical chemistry of traces of the Division for Marine and Environmental Research.
The open symposium aims at everybody interested in organic ligands in the marine environment and the work the SCOR WG 139 has been doing in the last 4 years (http://neon.otago.ac.nz/research/scor/index.html).
The symposium is structured in four different Discussion Sessions:
- Metal-binding Ligands in DOM
- Ligand Characterization
- Data Interpretation
- Ligands in Global Models
