Getting research experience
Laboratory for Physical Organic Chemistry offers chemistry students the opportunity to supplement their classroom instructions by working in a modern research environment with nonstandard facilities. The training includes participation in experimental and/or theoretical research on several topics such as:
- synthesis of guanidine based superbases and study of their physical and chemical properties
- cycloaddition reactions under high preassure and microwave radiation
- mechanochemical organic reactions
- microwave assisted reactions and
- mechanistic studies of organic reactions in the ground and the excited state by using high-level calculations
