A Roundtable on Nanotechnology - New Challenge in the Republic of Croatia!?
At the international conference MIPRO 2010, which begins on May 26th 2010 in Opatija, a roundtable discussion will be held on: Nanotechnology - new challenges in Croatia!? The roundtable is organized as a cooperative effort of the Ruđer Bošković Institute and the MIPRO Croatian Association.
The roundtable is intended for those who make strategic decisions in the spheres of economy and science, as well as for professionals, students and scientist from the fields of engineering and natural sciences. Dr. Mile Ivanda will chair the roundtable discussion event.
The roundtable should provide answers to the questions: Why Croatia has to develop and use nanotechnology? What are the weaknesses and what are the strengths of research in the field of nanotechnology in Croatia? What are the needs and possibilities of Croatia? What are the challenges for future industries based on nanotechnologies! Do we know how to effectively target the appropriate resources for research and development? What needs to be taken to ensure sustainable development and production in the field of nanotechnology? Are there already "nanotechnology materials for the future?"
The roundtable will be held at the Grand Hotel Adriatic, Opatija, on Thursday, May 27th 2010, from 12:30 to 14:00 pm.
