Expanded Accreditation for the Laboratory for Radioecology

Feb 12th 2010

The Croatian Accreditation Agency (HAA) has completed its regular monitoring of the Laboratory for radio ecology (LRE) in the Department for Marine and Environmental Research at the Ruđer Bošković Institute. The laboratory was previously accredited in methods for determination of 90Sr, 55Fe and for the determination of gamma spectometrics based on the requirements of HR EN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2007 and now accreditation has been expanded to include methods for the determination of tritium and 89Sr.

The accreditation given to the laboratory for radioecology (LRE) relates to the measurement of radionucleids in environmental and other samples (including food and drinking water) and can be viewed in the registry of approved accreditations on the HAA web site. Expansion of the LRE's accreditation once again confirms that the laboratory adheres to the highest standard of operation and that it has competency in providing services to a wide community of users both in Croatia and abroad.
