The RBI Open House Ends
For the fourth year in a row an Open House at the Ruđer Bošković Institute was held from May 6th to 8th. This years event attracted over 4500 visitors, not only from Zagreb County and Zagreb, but also from all over Croatia and neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Visitors were treated to an exhibition with 16 exhibition points which, in an interesting and accessible manner gave answers to many questions from the world of science. The Scientists of the Institute held a series of popular lectures on current topics in various fields of science. The visitors had the opportunity to visit the exhibition "Croatian inventors through history" which showed the rich tradition of invention and patent protection in Croatia. The exhibition was organized by the State Intellectual Property Office in cooperation with RBI's spin-off company Ruđer Innovations Ltd.
The RBI Open House was organized as part of the activities marking the 60th Anniversary of the Institute. The aim of this event was to inform the public with RBI research and to show how funds invested in science are used for the development of society, higher education and creating better living conditions for all citizens.
Finally, we invite all interested citizens to visit the RBI on May 14th from 6:00 pm for a new event A night under the stars at "Ruđer".
