New Significant Results from the Group for Hadron Spectroscopy
Following two significant papers in Physical Review Letters, members of the Group for Hadron Spectroscopy, Division of Experimental Physics, of the RBI, led by Dr. Alfred Švarc, published two related papers on excited nucleon states (1,2) manifested in the form of baryon resonances, in one of the world's leading journals of nuclear physics, the most recent issue of Physical Review C - Nuclear Physics.

Nena Peran Awarded for Poster Presentation
Dr. Nena Peran, research assistant in the Group for Quantum Organic Chemistry (GQOC), Division of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, was awarded with the Best Poster Prize for her contribution entitled "Basicity of Organic Superbases with Vinamidine Structure in Gas Phase and Acetonitrile – a DFT Study" at the international conference The 13th European Symposium on Organic Reactivity (13th ESOR). With the poster, she presented the computational study of organic superbases based on vinamidine, a well known superbase, both in the gas phase and acetonitrile.
